The brothers Dave and Paul Martineau
are multi–instrumentalists
who have toured together with many of the great names of the
Canadian music scene all over North America, Europe, Australia
and South East Asia.
Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dave
Martineau plays guitar, pedal steel guitar, dobro, lap steel and
a host of other unique stringed instruments. His musical efforts
resulted in the nomination for Pedal Steel Player of the Year for
2001 and 2002 in the Canadian Country Music Association Awards.
Singer-songwriter Paul Martineau is a seasoned master of drums
and percussion and the driving wheel behind the rhythm section
of the band.
Gary Bowman is a veteran of the music scene in Alberta and joined
the Trucks 7 years ago adding keyboards, accordion, smoky vocals
and top-notch songwriting skills to the ensemble.
Fred LaRose is the front man and spokesman for the Trucks.
A spectacular showman on the double bass and electric bass, Fred
has been the other half of a great rhythm section for the Trucks
since the band's inception.
All the members of the Trucks are continuously involved in music
projects in Canada in all areas of the business. From sidemen for
touring artists to session players on recording projects, they have
performed for the likes of Lisa Hewitt, Laura Vinson, Ian Tyson,
kd Lang, Crystal Gayle and many more…
The Trucks are a band of dedicated and enthusiastic musicians
who have lived on the road for so many years now that they
deserve to be, and are “legendary”. |
