Gary originally started out as a trumpet player and gradually gravitated to the piano. He is very accomplished
on his instrument and since joining The Trucks 4 years ago has picked up the accordion.
His smokey lead vocals add a pleasant texture to the vocal sound of The Trucks and his piano and accordion add
a wonderful flavour to the music.
Gary has performed with many artists including Brent Parkin, Gaye Delorme, Rusty Reed, Lester Quitzau and Lionel
Rault. He is an accomplished songwriter/singer with two independent albums of his own.
He contributed 4 original tunes as well as accordion, lead vocals, piano and organ on The Trucks self-titled CD
release. His expert handling of Hammond organ and leslie adds a great sound to several cuts on Laura Vinson's CD
"Point of the Arrow".
Gary released a new album project titled "Gary
Bowman and the Red Ants"
in 2007.
